To overcome the problem of limitation of files that can be attached to an e-mail, the biggest internet company decided to combine the functions of Google Drive, cloud computing services (cloud computing), to Gmail.
With the incorporation of these functions, Gmail users can send e-mail with an attachment file sizes up to 10GB.
Quoted from PCMag, Thursday (29/11/2012), with the integration, users can enter a file directly from Google Drive, without leaving Gmail.
How to use the new service is quite easy. To attach a file by using the Drive, users can simply press the logo Drive located next to the paper clip-shaped logo.
After completion attached, Gmail system will give permission for the recipient to view the content of files in the account of the sender Drives e-mail.
However, this new feature will be available in the next few days. Additionally, this feature can only be enjoyed in the new Compose format recently launched by Google.
"So, whether it's a file photo from your camping trip, video footage of the marriage of a relative, or a presentation to the boss, all the files are easy to share with Drive and Gmail," said Phil Sharp, Gmail Product Manager.
Drive is a cloud computing service made by Google. The free version of the service is providing cloud-based storage of 5GB to its users. If the user is not satisfied with the size, they can pay as little as 2.49 U.S. dollars to get a storage capacity of 25GB.
