Yahoo boss Think BlackBerry Not "Smartphone"

Some companies and U.S. government agencies have decided not to use a BlackBerry again.

One of the major IT companies which had openly declared it was Yahoo. Statement of moving from BlackBerry was initiated directly by the CEO, Marissa Mayer, last September.

Determination to switch to another smartphone again expressed by the number one Yahoo is flawless.

In an interview with Fortune, Tuesday (27/11/2012), Mayer repeatedly said he wants employees to move "from the BlackBerry smartphone."

This statement can be interpreted, a former high-ranking Google is no longer regarded as a BlackBerry smart phone or smartphone.

At the same time, Mayer also briefly mention some mobile device operating systems that are popular today, the Android, iOS, and Windows 8. However, whether intentional or not, he forgot to mention one name, the BlackBerry.

Statements and cues from Yahoo CEO seems further confirmed that Yahoo has unanimously to leave the BlackBerry.

As reported earlier, Mayer has launched a program to provide a smartphone for Yahoo employees in the United States. Yahoo Employees can choose several advanced smartphones based on three different operating systems, the iPhone 5, (IOS), Samsung Galaxy S3, HTC One X, HTC EVO 4G LTE (Android) and Nokia Lumia 920 (Windows Phone 8).

Although BlackBerry still be called a smartphone, but enough users have to buy a smart phone platforms, such as Android or iOS, to assist the BlackBerry. This had to be done because the Blackberry is considered unable to meet all the needs of mobile computing users alias "less intelligent".

Currently, RIM is preparing to launch BlackBerry 10 operating system, which may be "tempting" to return Yahoo using "smartphones" BlackBerry.
